I help clients with content.  Whether its crafting your 30 second marketing pitch or writing content for the “About Us” page on your web site or designing an employee newsletter, I can help you get your thoughts onto “paper.”  I have found that the development of meaningful content tends to be the most common bottleneck on the journey to completing a communications tool (like a website or presentation).  I am a firm believer in the old adage that “content is king” and that what you want to say should drive how you say it.  It doesn’t matter if a website is a graphic masterpiece if the content is missing.  People want information.  I help clients get that information into their communication tools.

I’ve got over 20 years of marketing experience writing a wide variety of communications pieces – data sheets, website content, speeches, corporate & product presentations, awards applications, newsletters, biographies, press releases, articles, blogs, sales education programs and training curriculum.

In addition to helping Pixelbias clients determine what they want to say and how they want to say it, I also own an online store – Every Little Bit Eco Shop – which helps consumers buy everyday products that are conveniently green.  Prior to consulting, I worked in strategic marketing, project management and HR positions in municipal government and the high tech community.  I worked for two of BC’s most successful start-ups – Abatis Systems (acquired for $1.1 billion) and OctigaBay Systems- which I co-founded in 2000 and which was acquired 3 years later for 115 million.   I learned all sorts of “businessy” things doing an MBA in marketing at City University and I also have an incredibly practical English degree from Simon Fraser University, as well as an HR certificate from BCIT.

I am active in my community – coaching soccer, volunteering with Soroptimist International of the TriCities and serving on the board of directors for the Homes for Good Society.  I have an amazing husband and  two little girls who often wonder what I’m doing on that facebook thing or why I’m talking to that Google Guy again.

We also have a just-add-water team of people who we like to work with when we know the project needs more resources added – back-end developers, technical writers, social media gurus, print specialists and designers.
